Partner Works
The Arts Council of GBR
Virginia & John Noland Black Box Studio
Of Moving Colors Productions (OMC) is kicking off an exciting new season with Partner Works, a collaborative performance featuring this season’s artistic partners. Each artist brings their own unique voice, ideas, and creative perspective to the stage, sharing what they are currently exploring, creating, and inspired by.
Made possible through the Margaret Goodwin Memorial Fund, which has supported multiple prestigious guest residencies, Partner Works provides a space for artists to connect with the Baton Rouge community and share their creative work.
The evening celebrates the many ways artists can come together, exchange ideas, and inspire one another through contemporary dance. Join us for an evening of connection, creativity, and work from the artists shaping this season of Of Moving Colors.

MISSION
Of Moving Colors (OMC) is a contemporary dance-theatre organization dedicated to creating and presenting excellent performances and community-based dance activities that inspire, educate, and stimulate. OMC is equally committed to offering admirable opportunities to dancers in our community in the form of master classes, guest residencies, and paid work in order to further the validity of the dance profession in Louisiana.
HISTORY
In the Company of Dancers (ITCOD) was founded in 1987 by Lisa Hooks Murray to bring modern dance to as many people as possible, both through educational outreaches and major productions. In 1998 Garland Goodwin Wilson was announced Artistic Director of the Company. ITCOD went through a merger with Wilson's collaborative company, Of Moving Colors Productions (OMC). OMC believes that bringing the arts together represents a critical element to the culture of any city. Each year OMC brings together dance, theatre, live music, and the visual arts through major productions and educational outreaches. OMC also brings in top-flight guest artists for master classes, choreography, and special programs for neighborhoods and schools.

While he is drawn toward weddings, portraits, and commercial photography, Aaron's favorite subject is his beautiful wife, actress Jency Griffin Hogan. They married in 2011, and for once, Aaron relinquished his camera to a friend Max Trombly, who is also one of Aaron's main associate wedding photographers, to document his and Jency’s own intimate wedding. They married on private land in rural St. Francisville, LA in July 2011. They enjoy spending time together, traveling to far off countries like Iceland and Thailand, as well as hanging around the house with their three small dogs Lily, Little Dog, and Louie Bear.

THE PROGRAM
Attune
Choreography and performed by Alyssa Braud
Videography and Music by Nicholas Riggs
*originally premiered November 22, 2024 at Project Alchemy’s Momentum Choreographic Showcase in St. Pete, FL.
Note about the work:
Inspired by the melodic tones of the guitar, this dance represents the connection that music has with one’s life. This piece binds together videography, music, and dance to portray the space held through grief, joy, and everything in between. As David Byrne once said, “dance…eliminate[s] that mind-body separation. There is an open flow between them.” What do you feel and how do you cope when no one is watching? Throughout this journey, the audience will glimpse into the intimate ways dance and music can create harmony.
