Byrde's Dancers Scholarship Luncheon

Of Moving Colors Productions is hosting the seventh annual Byrde's Dancers Scholarship Luncheon, an effort that  brings life-changing arts opportunities to children of all backgrounds.

Each year, OMC presents Kick It Out, a community outreach project that involves children from all around our city. This lengthy program provides a unique opportunity for children to learn under professional dancers in a series of educational dance classes, and ultimately perform beside them in a live production.

Around half of these children are only able to participate in Kick It Out through the assistance of scholarships. A handful of those students receive full scholarships; these are the Byrde's Scholars. The Byrde's Scholarships offer a complete experience that awards children with classes, costumes, dance shoes, photos and videos of the performance, as well as tickets for each family to Kick It Out.

​The Byrde's Scholarship is named in honor of the mother of our scholarship's founding benefactor, Susan Lipsey.
