Alyssa Bourque is a second year company member with Of Moving Colors Productions. She received her early dance training at Dancers’ Workshop in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she focused on classical ballet. In later years, Bourque focused her dance education on modern and contemporary forms at Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi where she received a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in dance. Bourque performed in ensemble, solo, and duet works in the Belhaven University Dance Ensemble concerts from 2017 to 2021. During her training at Belhaven, Bourque worked with guest artists and instructors such as Bill Wade, Steve Rooks, Whitney Dufrene, Brandon Welch, Vincent Hardy, Frankie Peterson, Randall Flinn, and Julianna Slager. In her first year as an Of Moving Colors company member, Bourque had the privilege of performing in recreations of Sofa Stories, and Kick It Out: Around The World, as well as Clock Tower, an original work featuring John Allen's choreography. Bourque is looking forward to another season of expanding her artistry and professionalism alongside her fellow company members.
