Karenna Mitchell has been dancing for over nine years. She began her training under Rebecca Acosta at Baton Rouge Magnet High School. She has also learned from other artists at the Dancers Workshop, an arm of the Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre. In her free time, she has performed in several community dance productions, including New Venture Theatre’s Love, Whitney and Black Nativity. She was also a featured dancer in the EBR Fine Arts Showcase. She is studying accounting and dance arts at Howard University in Washington D.C., training under celebrated instructors such as Patricia Thomas and Royce Zackery. Karenna has participated in OMC’s Kick It Out for three years, including two as a young performer and this year as an OMC company dancer.
