In addition to major productions, OMC has an educational outreach program to increase access to the arts. OMC's outreach program, C.L.O.S.E.R. to the Arts! brings modern dance and all art forms into Churches, Libraries, Open-air spaces, Schools, and Everywhere we can Reach!
OMC is dedicated to educating and igniting the community with the arts. We accomplish this through large and small performances, classes, collaborations, workshops and informances. OMC is committed to bringing the arts out of the theatre doors and into as many venues as possible.
Some examples of our outreaches through “C.L.O.S.E.R. to the Arts!” programs:
- Classes in Modern and Contemporary Dance; also in Creative Movement.
- Lecture Demonstrations and Master Classes.
- Two-week Workshops (or camps) for the arts. These camps may include any or all of the following courses: Modern Dance, Theatre, Music, Exploration of hands-on Set and Costume Design (masks).
- Small performances by OMC designed specifically for your audience of any age.
- Full-scale Multimedia “Color” Productions or Full Performances billed exclusively with Dance Works from our repertoire.
