Of Moving Colors is proud to celebrate National Dance Week, annually, in partnership with Action for Healthy Kids through the Baton Rouge community with performances at local schools, events, and organizations.
National Dance Week 2011 April 15-May 1 National Dance Week 2011 will be for two weeks in order to accommodate Baton Rouge Parish schools' spring break schedule.
Program Offerings for National Dance Week 2011
- A lecture/demonstration, which is a 45-minute event that pairs teaching and a solo performance.
- An interactive movement workshop that teaches students about modern dance and how dancers use movement to create art. The length of the workshop is geared to fit in your school’s class period and can instruct up to 60 students.
- A full-scale performance with our professional dancers up to 50 minutes in length which includes a participant-friendly discussion time.
