“Alloy” was a new and collaborative dance concert in Baton Rouge September 14-16, 2007. The performance offered work from three strong dance forces in the Southern Region: Louisiana’s Of Moving Colors Productions (OMC), Willow Oak Contemporary Ballet and Florida’s Fuzion Dance Artists. The concert challenged the audience with segments of contemporary ballet, modern dance, and contemporary dance-theatre.

Willow Oak performs choreography ranging in style from classical to contemporary ballet. Dianna Jones of Jean Leigh Academy directs the company. Tamu Wilson, the Artistic Director and visionary for Willow Oak also presented original choreography focusing on impeccable line, believable emotional scope, and the undeniable partnership between movement and music.

Fuzion, who performed as a guest to Of Moving Colors, is a contemporary dance collective influenced by World Dance forms. This Florida-based company inspired Baton Rouge with movement that expresses the desires and struggles of the human spirit. Directors Leymis Bolaños Wilmott and Rachael Inman bring their images to the Baton Rouge stage.
